Teammates Henry Bissel of Wellshire Golf Course and Rick DeWitt of West Woods Golf Course fired rounds of 67-66 to win the CGA State Two-man Team Championship by seven strokes at Eagle Ranch Golf Course. The University of Wyoming’s Matthew Brunk and Dan Slilva of Pelican Lakes Golf Course combined to shoot a two-day total of 140 (69-71) to finish alone in second place. Dean Clapp and Billy Post of the Meadow Hills Men’s Club posted scores of 67-74 for a team total of 141, which helped them finish in third place. 2003 champions Jeff Lauretti and Michael Davis of the Ridge at Castle Pines finished in a tie for eighth place at 147.
In the Senior Division, Steve Bell and Gary Polumbus of Denver Country Club topped Larry Netherton and Kelly Crone of Highlands Ranch Golf Club with a par on the fourth hole of a playoff. The teams fired two-day totals of 142. Ronald Knapp and Jim Pierce of the Pinery Country Club took home third place honors carding a two-day 143.
