Wyndham Clark’s next college tournament will be in his home state of Colorado — the Pac-12 Championships April 28-30 at Boulder Country Club — and the Highlands Ranch resident will come in on a high note.

The University of Oregon senior continues to live up to his ranking as the top college player in the country — at least according to Golfstat.com.

On Sunday, Clark wrapped up the regular season by tying for fifth in the Western Intercollegiate in Santa Cruz, Calif. It was his ninth top-10 finish in 10 tournaments so far this season. He’s been in the top half-dozen eight times, winning twice and placing second three times, third once, fifth once and sixth once. Clark’s worst showing of the season has been a 13th place.

Clark, a former Big 12 Player of the Year and the 2010 CGA Amateur champion, birdied the last hole and shot a bogey-free 3-under-par 67 in Sunday’s final round in Santa Cruz. That moved the five-time U.S. Amateur qualifier up 24 spots on the scoreboard. With a 1-over-par 211 total, he ended up six strokes behind champion Justin Suh of Southern California.
