At West Woods Golf Club, Bethany Buchner of the Olde Course at Loveland maintained her three-day lead finishing with a 218 to earn the 2008 CWGA Junior Stroke Play Championship title. Bryce Schroeder of Elmwood Golf Course rose to the challenge and came within three strokes of Buchner and placed second overall with a 221. Amy Hodgkinson took third place finishing with a 231. Somin Lee of Meadow Hills Golf Course struggled in the final round and walked away in last place in the Championship Flight with a 242. Despite the challenges on the course, Buchner prevailed.
The first round of the 2008 Junior Stroke Play Championship was difficult and competitive, but Buchner rose to the challenge by firing a one-over-par 73 to lead the field. Schroeder held steadily in second place after the first round with a score of 75. Allie Johnston of South Suburban Family Sports Center and Gina Larson of Boulder Country Club both shot a 76 to finish the day sharing third place. During the second round, Buchner was inspired by her first-round play and shot an unbelievable one-under-par 71. Also firing a one-under-par round was Somin Lee. Combined with her first round score of 77, Lee found herself in third place going into the final round. Schroeder reserved her spot in second place during the second round by shooting a 72. Hodgkinson shot a 78 and a 76 to put her in fifth place going into the third and final round.
