The Ranch Country Club opened in 1974 with an 18-hole golf course designed by Colorado Golf Hall of Famer, Dick Phelps that has since matured into one of Denver’s best kept secrets. The 6,656/ 5,519- yard course with a rating of 71.8 and 71.3, from the back and forward tees respectively, features “a blend of beautiful, rolling terrain and endless vistas.” The challenging golf course offers members a great opportunity to improve their game. The Ranch also features a picturesque driving range as well as a new 8,000 square-foot putting green and a new 3,500-square- foot chipping green.
The Ranch is widely respected for its golf-learning programs, led by PGA Master Professional, Ed Oldham. Their state-of-the-art teaching technology helps members improve all parts of their game and Titleist Performance Institute- certified instructor Jamie White assists in improving a golfer’s physical approach to their game. Different levels of training range from 30-day online training guides, to 8-week group or individual classes that “offer something for everyone and are specially designed to help golfers get the most out of their unique game.”
The Ranch also offers one of the best youth golf programs in Colorado, with programs beginning as early as age 4.The Ranch is “passionate about helping children and teens learn sound fundamentals and develop a lifelong love of the game.” Programs are based on the U.S. Kids Golf Learning Program, for game-based learning that makes golf fun for everyone and focuses on five core areas: putting, around the green, full swing, knowledge, and scoring. The Ranch offers lessons for young golfers of all ages and abilities with programs for those who wish to play both competitively and casually. The golf course at The Ranch is a PGA Family Course. Each hole includes two family tees, “specially designed to help kids learn and enjoy the game by giving them a course that is scaled to their size.” The shortened holes teach kids to balance full swing and short game with fewer scoring obstacles. The two sets of shorter family tees help kids gradually improve to playing from the standard tees. The Pro Shop offers club fittings for kids with US Kids Golf equipment. The recently- renovated clubhouse is the perfect place to eat and relax after a round of golf. The 32,000- square- foot clubhouse features a spectacular westward-facing dining room and a large patio with views of Colorado’s iconic Front Range for both indoor and outdoor dining. Executive Chef Steve Weber prepares quality “ranch to table” food produced in Colorado for members daily. The Ranch also offers a large selection of Colorado craft beers and a quality wine program. The Ranch offers group and private lessons to members of all ages and abilities and has a team for competitive swimmers that compete annually in the Boulder Valley Swim League. Members have access to year-round tennis with four indoor and four outdoor hard tennis courts. All courts are lit for evening play so members can play at their convenience.
