Rolling Hills Country Club turned the final round’s best team score of 144 for a 289 total to win the CGA State Club Team Championship by eight strokes at Vista Ridge Golf Club. Rolling Hills was lead by low individual scorer Sean Forey (73-70–143) and Bill Fowler (72-74–146), with the third teammate Mick Maillot shooting 172. This is the second time Rolling Hills has won this event, having first won it in 2002 with Forey and Fowler on the team. Highlands Ranch Golf Club finished second at 297, lead by Michael Love (72-73–145), with 2004 CGA Mid-Amateur champion Chris Carlson (75-77–152) and Scott Thomas (77-77–154). Defending champion Meadow Hills Golf Course finished tied for third at 300 with Meridian Golf Club and City Park Golf Course.
The two-day tournament was scored in a college format in which the team score each day was the total of the best two scores of the three team members.
