Richard Oh of Meridian Golf Club, the 59th seed, defeated Bob Bauers of Boulder Country Club (seeded 4th) in the final match of the 1999 CGA Senior Match Play Championship to win the title. The match was all square going into the par four 9th hole. After missing his bogey putt, Bauers conceded the hole to Oh, which put him 1 up at the turn. Oh proceeded to take the 10th and 11th holes, and then birdied 12 to go 4 up. Oh won the match 5 and 4 when Bauers conceded on the 14th green.
Oh defeated Jim Voigt of Pinery Country Club 2 up in the semifinals (played in the morning) to earn his place in the final match. Bauers advanced to the final round by defeating Jim Grubbs of Canterberry Golf Course on the 2nd playoff hole of their semifinal match.
Ed Coover of Fox Hill Country Club won the Super Senior Division by defeating Don Baughman of Lincoln Park Golf Course 4 and 2. Baughman was 1 up early in the match, but Coover rallied to be 3 up at the turn, then held on to win.
Dennis Brown of Los Verdes Golf Club defeated Don Elrich, also of Los Verdes, 1 up to win the first flight of the Net Division. The second net flight was captured by Duncan Roberts of Bear Creek Golf Club, who defeated Kirby Ambler of Meadow Hills Golf Club 3 and 2 in the final match. Carrol Moore of Sunset Golf Course ousted Herb Smith of Los Verdes on the first playoff hole to win the third net flight. Gary Elm of Englewood Golf Ccourse defeated Lowell Hegg of The Ranch Country Club 2 and 1 to win the fourth net flight.
